The disciplines, talents and resources required to design
and build great exhibits are equally important in the
creation of great corporate interiors. From our earliest days, our exhibit clients have asked us to lend our
design skills to their interiors. Exponents designs and creates memorable, workable and comfortable interiors.
An exhibit is an extension of your office... and your office shoulde be a showplace.
Exponents takes great pride in creating interior environments that reflect your
identity and make a strong impression. We collaborate with you to design
environments that work beautifully today and adapt easily for tomorrow.
Here are two interesting case studies:
RMW Architecture + Design was hired to create a temporary
dining area
during a year-long seismic retrofit of the upscale One Market
Restaurant housed in an historic San Francisco building.
Exponents was
restricted from attaching any strucure to the building, including
the prized
marble and mosaic floor, so the solution had to be free-standing
while still
conforming to city codes.
The elegant, wedge-shaped 16-foot high private dining area was designed
using the Exponents system for exterior walls, French doors, columns and
overhead beams. Beams were draped with fabric to give the illusion of a
ceiling within the
eight-story atrium. The structure integrates well, creating a
comfortable,
light and open dining room. The flexibility of the Exponents
construction
allowed One Market to go about business as usual while
the retrofit
progressed. As additional repairs were required, the temporary
structure
was disassembled and moved so the restaurant could remain
open and
profitable for the duration of the retrofit construction.
SOMA, a Newport Beach, CA health- and fitness-oriented restaurant needed a
sophisticated area to post sporting events, showcase products and display
graphics. This 8'H by 20' long unit is internally-lighted and allows for adjustable
shelving and changing graphics, all safely contained within a museum-quality display case.
