REQUIREMENT

Problem

Six years in the making, Reifenhauser’s return to NPE 2024 was long anticipated. For their return, they needed a 2,400 sq. ft. island booth that could carry their “The Time Is Now” message and spotlight sustainability, digitalization, and productivity.

The build had four real challenges:

  • Fit multiple large industrial exhibits into the footprint
  • Handle technical needs like air pressure, 230V power, plumbing, and rigging
  • Integrate a bar/kitchen area into an industrial booth

SOLUTIONS

SOLUTIONS

Solution

We built the booth around a clear strategy: attract visitors with the equipment, communicate value through digital, and create space for serious conversations. The layout gave the machinery strong visibility while keeping the booth open and easy to navigate. Visitors then flowed into a dedicated digital zone with a curved screen that connected the displays to Reifenhäuser’s broader message around sustainability, digitalization, and productivity. At the center, we placed a themed sports bar with dark brick finishes, sports decor, neon signage, working beer taps, and a functional counter. Paired with private meeting rooms, it gave the booth a distinct identity and helped turn short visits into longer discussions.

The booth really pulled through. The space stayed active — machines drawing interest, digital displays sparking questions, conversations happening at the bar. Reifenhauser didn’t just show products. They showed direction.
Sustainability as a success driver. Digitalization as a competitive advantage. Productivity as a measurable outcome. As Steve DeSpain, President at Reifenhauser Inc. said,

“We’ve waited so long for this day.” And when the moment arrived, the booth delivered. It felt optimistic. Forward-looking. Ready.

FAQ

1. Why include hospitality space in a machinery-focused booth?
+

Hospitality areas improve engagement quality by providing a comfortable environment for longer discussions. In this booth, the bar area served as a deliberate “transition space” between demonstrations and deeper conversations, increasing dwell time and supporting relationship-building without reducing the prominence of the machinery displays.

2. How do you design a large industrial booth without it feeling overwhelming?
+

We maintained open sightlines, defined distinct zones with clear purpose, and used intentional spacing to prevent crowding around the equipment. The result is a booth that reads clearly from the aisle, supports multiple entry points, and allows visitors to explore without congestion.

3. How did the Digitalization corner support the overall message?
+

The Digitalization corner was designed as a modern, visually distinct zone that clarified how Reifenhauser converts equipment capability into operational improvement. The curved screen and clean presentation approach ensured the message remained focused and legible, while the proximity to the machinery zones helped visitors connect digital tools directly to production realities.

4. How did you ensure the booth stood out on a large show floor?
+

Visibility was achieved through scale management and architectural clarity. The 2,400 sq. ft. island footprint was planned to present recognizable structure and branding from multiple aisles, while the layout avoided visual clutter. This ensured the booth was identifiable at distance and inviting at close range.

5. What made this booth different from a typical industrial exhibit?
+

Most industrial booths prioritize display density. This booth prioritized engagement strategy. It balanced high-impact equipment presence with a dedicated digital storytelling zone and intentional conversation spaces, allowing the visitor experience to move from attention, to understanding, to discussion—without interruption or confusion.

6. How did the booth support both quick walk-ins and longer meetings?
+

The design supported multiple engagement depths. Visitors could absorb key messages quickly through open viewing of major displays and clear wayfinding, while the bar area and private meeting rooms enabled longer, structured conversations. This ensured the booth remained accessible for high traffic while still accommodating serious commercial and technical discussions.

7. Why add private meeting rooms instead of relying only on open seating?
+

Open seating supports informal conversation but cannot reliably support confidentiality, focus, or extended dialogue. Private meeting rooms provided a controlled environment for deeper technical reviews and commercial discussions, allowing Reifenhauser to advance high-value conversations on the show floor without leaving the booth or competing with ambient noise.

8. What does your full-service booth rental actually include, and why does it matter for a build like this?
+

The Reifenhauser booth was delivered as a fully managed rental, meaning the client did not own, store, or ship any of the structural components. Design, fabrication, logistics, on-site installation, show supervision, and post-show dismantlement were all handled under a single contract. For an exhibitor returning after a six-year absence, this model reduced operational risk significantly — there was no aging inventory to refurbish, no freight to manage, and one accountable partner overseeing every detail from first sketch to final pack-out.
