Boston Trade Show Booth Rental Options

Our exhibit booth rentals in Boston are designed around how your team plans to engage prospects. A smaller footprint supports direct conversations and demonstrations, while a larger booth gives you room for meeting areas, hospitality, and multiple product zones. Larger island booths are better suited for high-traffic brands that need private meeting rooms, hospitality areas, or several product zones.

Things to Consider Before Exhibiting at a Boston Trade Show

Turnout

Boston's show calendar runs on life sciences and biotech, anchored by the BIO International Convention, alongside Seafood Expo North America and PAX East. These draw a research-and-development crowd that's used to seeing dense, technical booths, so a display that leans on generic branding tends to get walked past.

Transit

From Logan, the Silver Line SL1 is usually the simplest way to reach the BCEC. Get off at the World Trade Center, cross Summer Street, and you’re there. The trip from the airport is free. A rideshare can take about 15 minutes, but the Ted Williams Tunnel can easily push that past 25 during show traffic. For events at Hynes, staying in Back Bay makes things easier; the convention center is just a few Green Line stops from nearby hotels.

Permits

BCEC's exhibit halls have 40 to 50-foot ceilings, among the tallest of any East Coast convention venue, which supports large hanging signs and taller structures than most cities allow. That height still falls under labor jurisdiction. Any overhead sign requires a rigging plan approved by the show's general contractor. Review the exhibitor manual early so drawings and service orders can be submitted before the deadlines.

Planning

Boston drayage runs on the higher end, often 40 to 60% of the total exhibit cost. Budget for it early rather than treating it as a line item you'll deal with on-site. Ensure to confirm your booth's dock access and service desk location against the show's floor plan before freight ships.

Scheduling

Book booth production, freight, installation labor, hotels, and show services as early as possible. Large conventions often lead to an increased demand for labor crews, nearby accommodations, and freight appointments.

Disruptions

Winter storms are the biggest obstacles for freight moving into Boston, and construction in the Seaport District has affected street access in recent years. Marathon Monday in April also closes roads across the city, so check against your show dates before finalizing ground transportation.
