Altasciences at SOT 2025: A Tiki Bar Booth Rental Wins Bronze

At SOT 2025, Exponents partnered with Altasciences to deliver a 20×20 exhibit designed to stand out without overspending. The goal was clear from the start: create a booth that felt distinct, approachable, and memorable on a highly technical show floor. The approach worked. The project earned a Bronze Award for Best Design on a Budget (250K and under) at the Experience Design Awards 2025.

A Theme Brought to Life

The booth brought a tiki bar concept to life through a relaxed, beach shack-style environment. Faux-wood textures, surf-culture details, and warm graphics created immediate visual contrast and helped break through the noise of the surrounding exhibits. The space felt open and welcoming, giving attendees at SOT 2025 a reason to pause, step inside, and engage.

Engagement Without Heavy Technology

Inside the footprint, the layout encouraged movement and conversation. Multiple zones supported different interactions, from quick touchpoints to more extended discussions. Rather than relying on screens or complex technology, the experience relied on environmental storytelling, material choices, and clear spatial planning to maintain natural and intuitive engagement.
